I probably should've done this post like 3 days ago, but I've been so exhausted. So here we are. It's Monday night. And I can't remember what the heck we did on that island. Things are getting more difficult. I had expected it to get easier, and while some things are getting easier, many things are getting harder. By this I mean I spend every day cramming new words, phrases, and pronunciations into my head. Most people have found their groups, and many students have settled in with the people they met right away. I’ve done the same, but it makes it harder to meet new people. We are pretty much settled unto a crazy routine of Norwegian, language training, socializing, 4 meals a day, random trips, and wearing a LOT of wool. I was going to write another post about our trip to the island, but the days following it were so tiring that I started to forget everything that happened. This is exactly the reason I am doing this whole blog thing! It is actually astounding how quickly I forget things, and having a written record of what I get up to on a daily basis is kind of amazing. So instead of a play-by-play of them last few days of the trip, I’m just gonna go with a quick overview. We spent the 2nd day doing a scavenger hunt around the island, very fun, but holy crap it was hot outside. It’s surprisingly warm here, I brought too much warm clothes. We also did lots more singing, and we had a sort of “talent show” on a hidden beach. I sang a song called All I Want by Kodaline while Ethan played the guitar. It was a lot of fun. Some people spoke about life experiences, some read from their favorite book or poem, and other sang. It was really amazing. On the last day, we ran out of drinking water so we had to boil all of our water and drink that. It was really tiring, but I love that kind of stuff. I like when things get random and crazy. It always makes for a good memory. Here are some pictures!

I don’t remember if I put a picture in the post before. Here is the weird boats we rode to and from the island. |
We also did a funky, fresh little craft. We arranged 40 white t-shirts on some foldout tables and then painted them. By painting them I mean we all had about 2 minutes to paint something on a shirt, and then we rotated to the right. So there’s a little bit of everyone on every shirt. Some turned out better than others, but it was fun nonetheless :).
The last two days were rainy and overcast, but that didn’t stop us from hiking and taking pretty pictures. Anyways. Now it is Monday and I’m exhausted and I’m prepping for a crazy busy week. Next week we leave for a trip to Oslo with the Global class, and after that a bunch of friends and I will be staying in Oslo for autumn break. It’s been an adventure. Hopefully I will get back on track soon and be able to start posting more often. Here are some other random pictures! Ta ta for now!
