Ay yay yay

After arriving home from the island, I think everyone crashed for a few days. Or maybe that was just me. I kinda withdrew from all activities and spent a lot of time sleeping. But after a few recovery days, I’m back in the game. An exciting trip to Kristiansand on Saturday provided me with a new pair of pants and more Norwegian ice cream😬.

That’s Elias from Norway.

As you can see, we had a drizzly, overcast Norwegian day.

On Sunday, we had apple cake at dinner which was so amazing and I’ve been thinking about it all day every day since. Here’s a picture.

Here you can also see my amazing new pants. I'm in love with an article of clothing.

Got to talk to my best friend Bella Button, I miss her quite a bit.

Monday brought rain, wind, and more Norwegian practice. We also had a student council meeting where we discussed ordering lots of tea (Tea is a big thing here). Oh, I wanted to mention something my friend Sophie said last night. She said that Folkhøgskole is tea, bread, painting nails, and movies. That is scarily accurate. We also discussed having more dress-up days, we already have had a few like pajama day, but we were thinking the student council could host a few. We went to Kiwi, and... I GOT MY FIRST PACKAGE FROM HOME. Very exciting, can you tell? My momma put together a bunch of random stuff and sent it to me like 3 weeks ago. I've been checking for it every day. Packages can be revieved one of two ways here. Either they are sent directly to the school and put into the glass cage (An office with lots of glass windows in a central part of the school), or it is left at Kiwi and a letter is put in your mailbox letting you know where it is. Alright, let's be done with Monday. But here are some final pictures from that day.

A few friends and I have started playing music together every once and a while. Here's a song we are working on.

Ola and I co-drew this beautiful piece of art. I think Ethan added some stuff too.

This is a picture from the island I just got a few days ago. I find it really funny. Noah and I look super happy and then the other two look really freaked out. What a good combination of emotions am I right?

Tuesday was a crappy day for me. I woke up really early with my eyes swollen shut. I have a lot of fun, random skin allergies that I've been struggling with for a few years now. It always makes me feel like crap for a day or two, partly physically but mostly mentally. As someone who is still figuring out who I am, what look I wanna have, and learning to love myself, having a red, puffy face doesn't really help the struggle. My first instinct is to crawl into bed and not leave my room. So that's what I did. I missed a lot that day and I really regret it. I did catch up on my sleep though which felt good. I got myself out of bed the next day and was feeling a little bit better. On Wednesday, we took an important step in our registration in Norway. By this I mean we registered in Norway haha. We all spent the morning gathering the correct documents at the school, and then we hopped on the 9:17 (Or maybe 10:17) bus to Kristiansand. We were told to meet Marianne at the police station at 12:15. In the meantime, we had a daunting task, which will be revealed in the next post hehe.

Thanks for reading!!! Bye
