I’m feeling like a picture post

 

Nice chunky slug I found last night.

Lake night walk. The front two guys and Ola and Lukas. And the back three are Sophie, Tuva, and Aurora.


We leave for a 4 night trip to an island with a lighthouse on Monday. Here’s the packing list. Super exciting.

We got some pizza from Pizzabakeren, very good I might add. Here we’ve got (From left to right) Ola, Nora, Marlene, Lukas, Helena, and Karsten.   

After a long week, Helena, Marlene, Nora and I are camping out in the NLC room watching the entire Hunger Games series. It’s kinda drizzly and gray out today, perfect for a movie marathon. Many students and teachers are getting sick with a cold, and so today’s Saturday seminar was cancelled. 

Hope everyone is having a good day! I miss my people from home. Currently giving my parents a virtual hug. Also, thanks for reading! I had pretty low expectations for this whole writing a blog thing, but it’s actually really fun, funky, and fresh (Phrase taken from Erik)! Lmk if you have any questions.

Pictures from Oslo! Part 2

  Helena, Sophie, and I after a night at a friends. As you can tell, most days were rainy and foggy.  We went to an art exhibit at a nearby art gallery. It was super interesting and I ended up paying way too much to buy one of these books haha 1st softis of the day. This time I tried it with blueberry and sprinkles. Very good. 2nd softis of the day. Stunning. Beautiful. Amazing.  I bought this dress for $10 from a thrift store! My aunt Heather has always been a big fan of thrifting, and she even thrifted both of my prom dresses! When I see things like this, I always think of her. I ended up cutting the sleeves off which improves it quite a bit haha. Here we have some coconut curry that Marlene made! Absolutely delicious. Northern Trip Days 3!

 Hello again! Let’s talk about the next day of the trip. After the overnight train from Trondheim to Bodø, we went to breakfast at a little cafe inside the train station. We reserved a little room in the cafe where we were able to leave our big packs while we looked around the town. Some people stayed back with our stuff, while a group of us wandered a bit. Marlene, Helena, and I walked along the harbor, played on a strange playground, explored a church, and then went back to meet the rest of the class.  Here is the Sami museum in Bodø. I only brought one pair of pants so I just wear two pairs of long Johns most days :) Weird playground?  At noon we walked to the harbor and boarded a ship called Hurtigruta. That’s just the name of the company, the actual ship had a name but I don’t remember it hehe. These kinds of ships sail along the coast of Norway stopping at one or two cities/towns a day. It's my dorm!

 Hei Hei!  It is now Friday, yesterday we hauled our luggage up the hill into the dorms. Very exciting. Being able to fully unpack everything was a big relief. This post looks like it's gonna be mostly pictures. I am not in the writing mood today. As you will hear about in my next post, I just had a large meal and my eyelids are getting heavy (despite the name I took today, whoops). Anyways, pictures.  The dorms are split into sides A and B. There are 3 levels on each side. My room is B311, which is on floor 3, right on the end. There are 2-3 dorm rooms in a pod, and each pod shares a shower and a bathroom. My pod only has two dorms with two people in each dorm. I have yet to meet my roommate. The majority of the students move in on Sunday. A little scary.  A view from the door.  This is me.
