Hei Hei!
Monday was a full day. After breakfast, we went down to the lake for canoe rescue training. Agder has like 6 canoes that we can use whenever we want, but first, we have to do a little course. We practiced tipping the canoes and then rescuing each other. View photos for reference. I tried to add a video of us tipping the canoes, but this site will not allow it.

After changing out of wet clothes, Keegan, Helena, Marlene, and I hopped on the number 40 bus and went into Tangvall. We stopped at a bakery, flower shop, and grocery store and then hopped on the bus back home. I am gonna add some pictures we took in the bakery, and I already know they are gonna hate me for it. But I'm gonna do it anyway. These are two of my favorite people I've met here. Helena and I just became close in the last few days, after a long intense talk about our future next to the ocean last week. I am grateful that she is here. I've known Keegan longer, by longer I mean 3 weeks, haha, but it feels like I've known him for a long time. And he's got a good sense of humor, always a plus.

Helena from the UK! |

Keegan from Indiana. |
We went into town specifically to get baking ingredients. Helena and I signed up to make desserts, or cakes as Marianne calls it, for Language Training. This is similar to an extracurricular class lasting two hours every week where Norwegian students from the school help us internationals read through our textbooks and complete exercises. In order to "reward" the Norwegian students for helping us, we make them food😂. It works! Helena and I started baking cookies from scratch and brownies from a box mix in the NLC kitchen (Which is only used for baking) around 22:00, and it took us a solid 3 hours to finish. Needless to say, we didn't get much sleep that night.

The sort of dingy NLC kitchen, but it does the trick. We played music very loud and it was bearable. |

I don't know why it is sideways. Whoops. |
 |
A success. |
One other random activity was a concert that evening. Our classmate, Ethan from Australia, is very musically inclined. And he put on a short concert in the theatre room thing playing the electric guitar. Quite impressive I might add.

Dats him!

ALRIGHTY. Whoops, cap lock. Over and out.
