Quarantine!

 Hello! Again! On the same day! Exciting, I know. 

I am officially sick of quarantine. I have lost track of time, and my sleep schedule is now perfectly backward. I arrived at the quarantine hotel on Thursday, I think. Honestly, the 7 hour time difference doesn't work well with my brain. It is now Sunday evening and I am hoping to leave for Agder tomorrow. This is how quarantine works here. When you enter the country, you are immediately given a COVID-19 rapid test. When the results come in 15-20 minutes later, you are loaded onto a bus that takes you to the hotel where you will be for the next 3 days. On the third day, the 2nd COVID-19 rapid test is taken (I took mine this morning), if it comes back negative, you can move on to your final destination, which in my case is Agder Folkehogskole. Once there, you must continue quarantine. On the 3rd or 4th day there, you take ANOTHER test, and if it comes back negative, you're done! Complicated and confusing and I don't really get it. But it must be done. So here I am, halfway through quarantine. I've watched dirty dancing 3 times and played solitaire more times than I can count. I have now met 5 other people from my NLC class, Yhan, Chase, Noah, Keegan, and Yewon. Liv is also in the hotel, but I've yet to meet her in person :). And having them just rooms away is what makes this okay. We go get ice cream, and eat at the McDonalds to occupy our time. Netflix has different movies in Norway, which is an issue for me. I'm a movie addict, and having new options is dangerous. So far I've watched 13 movies. Anyways, here are some random pictures of the town I am in (We are allowed to take masked walks around town and grab food) and other activities.

It's my dorm!

 Hei Hei!  It is now Friday, yesterday we hauled our luggage up the hill into the dorms. Very exciting. Being able to fully unpack everything was a big relief. This post looks like it's gonna be mostly pictures. I am not in the writing mood today. As you will hear about in my next post, I just had a large meal and my eyelids are getting heavy (despite the name I took today, whoops). Anyways, pictures.  The dorms are split into sides A and B. There are 3 levels on each side. My room is B311, which is on floor 3, right on the end. There are 2-3 dorm rooms in a pod, and each pod shares a shower and a bathroom. My pod only has two dorms with two people in each dorm. I have yet to meet my roommate. The majority of the students move in on Sunday. A little scary.  A view from the door.  This is me. Let's Get Back to Oslo

 Hey everyone! Long time no see! I am thriving over here in Norway (Most of the time). Missing my family and friends like crazy, but otherwise I keep myself busy. I haven’t posted for a few week because the NLC class was prepping for our Agderlørdag. Agder is the name of our school, and lørdag is Saturday in Norwegian. So Agderlørdag is when one of the classes in our school entertains the rest of the students and staff for one Saturday evening. It’s super fun, but pretty stressful when it is your classes turn. Anyways! We had ours last night, the 11th of December. It went super well, but I will tell you more once I’ve gotten pictures and stuff.  But for now, let’s talk about the rest of my Oslo trip from a few weeks ago! Pictures from Oslo! Part 2

  Helena, Sophie, and I after a night at a friends. As you can tell, most days were rainy and foggy.  We went to an art exhibit at a nearby art gallery. It was super interesting and I ended up paying way too much to buy one of these books haha 1st softis of the day. This time I tried it with blueberry and sprinkles. Very good. 2nd softis of the day. Stunning. Beautiful. Amazing.  I bought this dress for $10 from a thrift store! My aunt Heather has always been a big fan of thrifting, and she even thrifted both of my prom dresses! When I see things like this, I always think of her. I ended up cutting the sleeves off which improves it quite a bit haha. Here we have some coconut curry that Marlene made! Absolutely delicious.
