Hello again! I took a couple of days break because we spend 2 days on the coastal ship. During those two days I hardly got out of bed. Not because I was sea sick or anything, I was just having some lovely sleeps in a real bed 😴🥰. But let’s go back and I’ll do a quick recap of everyday and share some pictures!
Day 6 was our first full day on the boat. We got to eat a lovely breakfast served by the ship. It was maybe the best I’ve ever had!!

So many options! |
|
I’m looking a little tired here 😴 |
|
Here is the ship! Polarlys is the name of the boat, it means polar light! |
I spent literally all day in bed up until the boat docked in Tromsø. We ate some “American” style pizza and then had a few hours to wander around. It’s a pretty little town, but it was dark and chilly so we didn’t really get the full experience.

Here is our tiny, messy little cabin. Three of us in one cabin. |
|
We had to provide our own lunches so most of us just made ramen. But we all had to share on water boiler. So I made a competition. When my cabin had the boiler, whoever could bring me the most random item would get it next. |

Strange screenshot from a FaceTime call where my dad and I were singing haha |
On Sunday I actually didn’t get out of bed at all 😬. It was so cozy and nice and I was so tired! We did take a sauna though which was lovely. On Monday we disembarked in Kirkenes! Yay! This kind of felt like a turning point for the trip as now we are only going South again! We stashed our bags in a little travel center and then had a few hours to walk around and explore. Kirkenes is a pretty small town but they still have some interesting things to explore. At 1 we met back up again, boarded a bus, and traveled to another folkehøgskole called Pasvik. We stayed in some of the dorms, got to meet the students, and ate dinner with them! It was really interesting and fun to contrast and compare life at another folkehøgskole. If you are interested, look up Pasvik. They have some very different opportunities to Agder. For example, one of their classes is dog mushing! The school has 26 sled dogs! We got to meet them and play with them and it wa so much fun. Especially because I miss my pups back home so much! At one point one of the dogs got so excited she tackled me and wouldn’t let me get up. Marianne thought it was hilarious and she still brings it up 😂.

After meeting the dogs we made friends with some students who helped us shave off Chance’s itchy beard. |

Also found this guy on my Instagram who looks just like Keegan. Haha. |
That night was really fun and we were the first visitors Pasvik had gotten in 2 years so that was fun 😂. The next morning we woke up at 7am, cleaned our dorms, and headed out on an 8am bus. Lots of traveling. It is now Wednesday evening and we are hanging out in a cabin in Karasjok which is right next to the Finland border. I will add days 9 and 10 soon! Thanks for reading!
I lovee the random item competition! That was my fav. The sleeping does indeed look very comfortable can't blame you for sleeping through a day especially after such a busy week. That breakfast looks outstanding as well. Also excellent method of beard shaving... hopefully it isn't more itchy now.. Miss YOU!!
